Going out without a wallet means you can't do anything in many places. If you have no cash and no credit cards, you cannot take a taxi, and cannot buy any of the necessities of life. But in China's big cities, as long as there is a smart phone, you can explore everywhere without worries. Mobile payment has penetrated into every part of our everyday life, and the smart phone has basically replaced the functions of a wallet.
Pay with your phone
Alipay and Wechat-pay are the two leading on-line paying tools. After creating an account on the Alipay and Wechat-pay app in your smart phone, and bind your bank card into your account, we could start our cash-less life. Now I get quite used to pay with my mobile phone, and I almost have no cash with me since a year ago. We could do almost everything by mobile payment, for example, buying life necessities in supermarkets, food and drinks in restaurants and coffee houses, clothes in shopping mall, train and flight tickets, taking a taxi, even paying electricity, water and gas bills, car fines, and check my Social Security Retirement Accounts balance. The function of mobile payment is so powerful, and it brings so much convenience to our life.
In every store
Since everyone is using mobile payment, it is very difficult to find a store that cannot accept mobile payment now. Not only big supermarkets and shopping malls, even a tiny store or restaurant on your way home can accept mobile payment. The only thing that the seller needs to do is to print out its own QR code of either Alipay or Wechat-pay, so that the buyers could simple scan the code, input the money amount, and enter the password.
No Cash!
The whole paying process could be completed within seconds. Another big benefit to use mobile payment is that you will never need to worry about the change! This is the main reason that I started to use mobile payment at the beginning, because I am the type of person who hates to take coins along with me. Haha
